Bon Jovi goes country…surely not? Well, err, yes and no!
John Bon Jovi performed this song with Sugarlands Jennifer Nettles at the 2005 country music awards and needless to say, it was played constantly on country music radio all year. However, Bon Jovi decided to release his solo version of the song for the UK market (because very few of the UK public know who Sugarland and Jennefer nettles are) so this backing track is the same arrangement as Bon Jovi’s UK single release.
It has more of a rock feel to it than a country feel and is a great backing track. Most male singers struggle to sing as high as John Bon Jovi so, as well as offering it in the original key of G, we’ve also taken the key down two semi-tones to the key of F to suit a general male singer.
